Gift of Music

a Christmas tradition

St. Matthew’s Parish has a longstanding holiday concert tradition. With COVID-19 restrictions, however, this tradition was facing an uphill battle. We were honoured to work with the Parish team, event organizers, and the talented artists amongst their flock to keep the concert alive — live-streamed for their community to watch from the safety and comfort of home.

The event included several pre-recorded packages that were captured and edited the day of. With just one advance visit to the location to check lighting conditions, get acquainted with the venue, and strategize on-location, this live stream was an intensive project that required much focus and organization. Thanks to parishioners Peter and Sandy Luongo, and Deacon Salvino’s on-site assistance in our preparatory visit, we were able to craft an event that met the Parish’s needs and worked within the framework of such a short-notice event. The end product is an auditory treat and a warm holiday comfort. We’re very proud to have helped the Parish keep the magic of Christmas alive and well in such unprecedented times, and even prouder that the concert was able to smash through the fundraising goals that the concert supported.
