the shape of a new era

CURV will be Vancouver’s tallest residential tower, and the tallest Passive House building in the world, so when Brivia Group first approached us, we knew the videography had to live up to such lofty heights. The Roguescots vision mapped out a cinematic short film (with a full length and multiple abbreviated versions created), accompanied by a suite of individual interview videos, and a series of social media spots to complement the other assets. An additional package of custom teasers for use at the developer’s presentation centre was also curated to round out a sweeping visual ad campaign capable of showcasing such an impressive structure.

With acclaimed architect Tom Wright (designer of the world-famous Burj al Arab tower in Dubai), and renowned interior designer Andres Escobar attached to the project, it was clear that CURV represented a truly global effort. The best way to feature these two men, therefore, was to travel to them—to inhabit their working environments and show them in their element. Over a three week journey, the Roguescots team travelled to New York City to visit with Escobar, to Montréal to spend time with Brivia Group executives, and to London to sit down with Tom Wright. An additional unit was centralized in Vancouver to capture BakerWest sales leadership and Brivia’s project director and Passive House expert. All told, the CURV production spanned 5-6 weeks in total.

Working in collaboration with Common Ground Studios and E T H O Studio on the 3D renderings/animations and branding respectively, the films created are a true extension of the overall CURV branding and imagery foundations, and form a true extension of the online and on-page promotional materials for a cohesive identity language across platforms and mediums.

The end result is a gorgeous, cinematic suite of videos that touch on both the macro and micro facets of this soon-to-be skyline redefining structure. Every level of the Roguescots team’s expertise, craftsmanship, and international experience was drawn upon in order to bring this project to life. Part of the CURV branding is the concept of ‘luxury with purpose’. That mantra was carried through in the cinematic assets: a true visual curation, elevating property development videography to a new level.
